Dom Cobb

So, about 2008 I bought these neat dream and altered states so I could have super vivid dreams and a more natural and holistic way to recharge my body without any actual effort. It’s as crazy as it sounds.

I don’t use the dream app anymore because I woke up a couple times with my earbuds wrapped around my neck and choking hazards tend to turn me off to experimental mental states.

I do use the altered states app, though. It’s great for white noise when I can’t fall asleep at night and it’s not too invasive… When it’s on speaker. Speakers are good. Speakers keep you sane and safe. Headphones are secretly an invention of the sorcerer of the Underworld.

I used my headphones with a tranquil thoughts option… Bad idea, bad idea. I woke up 30 minutes later, paranoid and scared, and collapsed on a different couch because I certain that the one I was on was going to eat me. I woke up an hour later in the dark, very confused and very neurotic. I moped around my house, balking at everyone who said more than a word to me, and hating everything. I do mean everything. Kind of thrown my phone across the room into the couch. I was peeved, not stupid.

So, lesson learned: I am not equipped to use mind altering applications for personal use, least not with headphones.

Wow! I have that altered states app, too, and have also always used it mostly for the white noise. I’ve always used the speaker instead of headphones, though. I guess it’s a good thing if the headphones make the couch want to eat you. That’s pretty wild stuff!
