A few hours ago my back decided to wake me up. It was a minor pain, so I tried to nip it early.

I got up (carefully and delicately) to take some ibuprofen and grab my ice pack.

Unfortunately, that didn’t help. I ended up taking another dosage and changing out the ice pack for longer lasting ones.

I even tried different couches to sleep on because sometimes I need my feet elevated to help it.

I’m in my fourth sleeping position and sixth episode of “Samurai Champloo” while I try and fall back to sleep.

I was really thinking that this week I wasn’t going to have this problem. I stopped drinking diet and zero calorie drinks because apparently Aspartame Poisoning is a thing and we think that’s what’s been causing my back problems. Indirectly causing them, but still.

Of course the caffeine withdraw and sugar withdrawals have been brutal and the natural side effects have not been my friends. How do people live on coffees, teas, and waters?! It’s insane.

Plus side: while I’ve been writing this post, the ibuprofen kicked in and I’m feeling much better.

Maybe now I can get through the third episode of “The Walking Dead.”
