Generations

My younger cousins (they’re five and seven) recently discovered the wonders of having a boombox and they listen to it every night before going to bed.

They’re fascinated with it because A.) they’ve never seen anything like it before,
B.) they love music and they have dance parties whenever they listen to it,
C.) I’ve taught them well about the impromptu dance party, and
D.) Their minds are gonna friggin’ melt when I introduce them to the wonders vinyl. I won’t do it until the youngest one is 16, but still, they’re growing up in the digital music age and it’s all they’re ever going to know, so knowing I can help bridge the ignorance gap between generations is pretty banging…

… I’m also never going to use the word ‘banging’ again.
